Which isn't true, I bought my HP G6050 EG laptop directly from Karstadt (a department store here in Germany) only 2 weeks ago with OEM Vista Home Premium, and haven't changed anything (outside of downloading ICQ and AIM - for which I always get a "damaged data" message on start-up) or allowed anyone to touch it

The problem - for you games boffins - is that you can't aim your designs at a guy who's willing to keep a Win98 box around for DOS games, and an XP box around for NT/2K/XP games, and a Vista box for newer games. Why not? With today's VMs it's not difficult to throw up another OS, and archive it to DVD until needed.
